About Me
As I grew up in beautiful British Columbia, I discovered a passion for hiking as it is my form of escape from reality because it benefits me mentally and physically. While surrounding myself in nature, hiking allows me to disconnect myself from my work and school life, resulting in stress reduction and allowing me to have time to self regulate my emotions with nature. In addition, with its fresh air, I am always reminded of the importance of managing my busy schedule and my overall well-being, which makes hiking a rewarding activity. It is a privilege to live and to grow in British Columbia as we are constantly surrounded by the beauty of our province, as well as diverse communities, cultures, and people.

I am born in 2002, which is the year of the horse! As according to the Chinese zodiac, being born in this year comes with some great qualities. One of which emphasizes on how horses symbolizes optimism and their love for adventures! These qualities resonates with me the most as my passion with currently working with kids and continue to further work into the healthcare field aligns with this zodiac's traits and my desire to fulfill my own life, as well as others.
From working with my students as a behaviour interventionist, I began having conversations with other team members that were other BI’s, Occupational Therapists (OT’s) and Speech Language Pathologists (SLP’s). I instantly became more intrigued and fascinated by this field of work. What better way to move forward my career than a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy! I could harness my undergraduate studies in Psychology, my experience as a BI in the community, and further help people from various walks of life in their journeys to achieve and aspire new hopes and bright futures. Whether people are recovering from an injury or illness, working towards overcoming the challenges of a disability, or have emotional / psychological disorders, I firmly believe my career and further professional journey will begin with my Master’s degree next year. This allowed me to apply a motivational platform for hard work, community involvement, and an excellent foundation for academic and professional success.
My skill sets of being a great communicator, having tremendous qualitative skills, along with a high degree of emotional intelligence (managing emotions, understanding how others are feeling, and working well with others to accomplish goals), as well as having a very excellent work ethic, all highlights my aspirations and suitability for a career as an OT. My life goals are to help others achieve success in their everyday lives and workplaces or school. I believe that my university foundation has put me on the path towards successfully improving and bettering the lives of those who need professional assistance from Occupational Therapists.
Creating a balanced life of success with a loving family, support from the best of friends, sporting involvement, and school studies finally made for extraordinary memories in Vancouver. Ultimately, my hard work and aspirations in university both academically and professionally have set the stage for my dream career as an Occupational Therapist – to lend my education, knowledge, experiences, and skill sets to help others in need find their place of happiness, love, and success in their life journey’s as well.
